Pinocchio Esposito, a dazed and romantic young man, lights a candle every evening in front of the image of the Fairy. This loving ritual is the cause of a devastating fire in the suburban condominium where he spends his days. Forced to flee events, as an angry mob of scorched neighbors pursue him, he seeks escape in the field of miracles. Here he stops and remembers… .. he thus becomes a narrator of himself and interpreter of that merry-go-round of accidents of all kinds, which he inevitably draws to himself like a magnet.

For everything and everyone, the only possible answer is suggested by his dreamy and absent expression, interposed as an unconscious shield between himself and the misfortunes of the world. A fable of bourgeois foxes, miracle workers, workshop owners and admirals. A small song of anger and love, a tragicomic adventure of a voice from the suburbs, nourished by the absurd and marginalized. History of places where nightingales sing and wild beasts roar, and where it is difficult even to walk.

The text was written by Marcello Amore and Sergio Longobardi and is a Neapolitan theatrical rewriting of the Collodi text. The Adventures of Pinocchio Esposito rewrite the fable using, as you will see, an exuberant, lively, surreal language. Mentioned at the 1997 Ubu Award for Best Actor.
