We'll explore the shores of Lake Avernus on tiptoe in search of fireflies. This guided tour is part of the 13th edition of the "Fireflies and Sibyl" cultural event, held within the protected area of the Campi Flegrei Regional Park, immersed in the mythical setting of Lake "Aornos." Known as the lake without birds and the place of descent into the underworld for the ancients, it is surrounded by hills that still evoke the memory of tales linked to Ulysses and Aeneas. At this time of year, visitors can witness the "Dance of the Fireflies," a display of natural lights and high emotions that only pristine nature can provide.
The archaeological and nature trail, led by tour guides, will take us along the lakeshore and through the paths where you can enjoy the firefly spectacle while recalling the mythological presence of the Sibyl, priestess of the god Apollo endowed with divinatory powers.
The route includes a stop at Incanto dell'Averno for a tasting of Falanghina wine and bruschettas.
