SNORKELING

Snorkeling is an excursion that takes place in the sea and allows you to observe the depths of the Submerged Archaeological Park of Baia.
The snorkeling equipment consists of the mask, fins and snorkel. The mouthpiece, or aerator (snorkel) allows you to breathe without having to raise your head, the fins help you swim with minimal effort, making the action more effective.
Everyone can practice this aquatic discipline, there is no need to be an expert swimmer, so you can also use specific equipment such as flotation vests that keep you afloat, giving safety to those who have never tried snorkeling before.
You can take your snorkeling excursion in the depths of the submerged city of Baia. Guided by qualified personnel you will be able to see mosaics, statues, remains of villas etc … below sea level due to bradyseism, a volcanic phenomenon typical of the Phlegraean Fields.

DIVING

Discover Scuba Diving is among the tourist programs, mostly used by non-divers to visit the Submerged Archaeological Park of Baia.
A program that allows those who have never taken a diving course to try diving with a low-depth air-operated breathing apparatus accompanied by an instructor. It is an immersion test that you can carry out in one of the sites of the Submerged Archaeological Park of Baia, considering the low depth of the seabed between 3 and 6 m.
The experience consists of a theory lesson with the instructor and a guided dive in the Submerged Archaeological Park of Baia at a depth between 3 and 6 m, visiting one of the most fascinating dive sites in the world. No equipment needed, we will provide you with everything you need to dive. Trial! Scuba diving could change your life!

Boat Tour

Submerged Baia Tour by Glass-Bottom Boat

Exciting glass-bottom boat tour to discover the submerged villas of Baia, such as the Thermal Baths of the Lacus or the Villa with Prothyron.

A diver on board the Iris will dive into the water to reveal stunning, unique mosaics — some even polychrome — and the rooms where ancient Romans once stayed.

The tour includes a coastal ride with the chance to admire Montenuovo and the Castle of Baia from the sea.

Departure from the port of Baia.

Boarding begins 15 minutes before departure time.

Departures at 10:30 AM and 12:15 PM.

The office is open every day from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM and from 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM.

Kayak tour from Miseno

Depart by kayak from Miseno, the site of the Classis Praetoria Misenensis — the most important fleet of the Roman Empire — and paddle toward beaches accessible only by sea, exploring caves and tunnels, until reaching Marina Grande of Bacoli, all while immersed in one of the most beautiful natural settings in the world.

Provided for participants: kayak, paddles, life jacket, and a waterproof bag for personal belongings.

We recommend bringing a beach towel, wearing a swimsuit, and optionally bringing a change of clothes.
