    The Solfatara is also linked to the cult of San Gennaro<\/strong>.
    \nHere, according to tradition, the Saint was beheaded in the 4th century AD during the persecutions of Diocletian.
    \nWhere his blood touched the ground, the Sanctuary dedicated to him was built.
    \nA rock in the Sanctuary is said to turn red every time the miracle of the liquefaction of the blood is renewed in Naples.<\/p>\n

    The Solfatara Today<\/h2>\n

    Due to an accident in 2017<\/strong>, the crater is currently closed to the public<\/strong>.
    \nIt is therefore not possible to visit the interior, but you can observe the volcano from the outside along Via Solfatara<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
