What is the \u201cTowards the D.M.O.\u201d project?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Tourism in the Campi Flegrei has extraordinary potential, but to make the most of it effectively, it is essential to adopt a strategic and coordinated management approach. “Towards the Destination Management Organization”<\/strong> is a project promoted by Campi Flegrei Active<\/strong>, with the aim of creating the conditions for shared management of the destination, fostering dialogue between tourism operators, citizens, and institutions. <\/p>\n

The initiative is inspired by the best national and European practices of Destination Management Organizations (DMO)<\/strong>, a tourism governance model that allows for the promotion, enhancement, and management of a territory in a structured way, optimizing resources and strategies.<\/p>\n

Project objectives<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\u2705 Involve tourism operators<\/strong> to strengthen the local network and create a shared identity for the destination.
\n\u2705 Stimulate discussion with local institutions<\/strong>, so they can evaluate the path towards establishing a Phlegraean D.M.O.
\n\u2705 Create synergy with other destinations in Campania<\/strong>, to integrate the Campi Flegrei into a coordinated regional tourism system.
\n\u2705 Promote sustainable tourism development<\/strong> that respects local identity and promotes authentic experiences for visitors.<\/p>\n

Project phases<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The project is developed in three operational phases, each designed to gather contributions from the territory and build a shared development path:<\/p>\n

1\ufe0f\u20e3 Listening to the territory<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A cycle of thematic Focus Groups<\/strong> will involve tourism operators, organizations, and citizens in a process of discussion to identify critical issues, opportunities, and shared solutions.<\/p>\n

2\ufe0f\u20e3 Interregional Round Table \u2013 February 24, 2025<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Campi Flegrei will engage with other tourist destinations in Campania to share experiences and best practices, fostering the development of common strategies.<\/p>\n

3\ufe0f\u20e3 Presentation of results \u2013 February 27, 2025<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The information gathered in the Focus Groups and the interregional discussion will be analyzed and presented to local administrations, operators, and citizens to define possible paths for shared tourism development.<\/p>\n

4\ufe0f\u20e3 Conference at the Mediterranean Tourism Exchange \u2013 March 13, 2025<\/strong><\/h3>\n

During the BMT<\/strong>, a conference will be held where the destinations participating in the interregional discussion will present the results of the work carried out, creating a concrete basis for future collaborations.<\/p>\n

Focus Groups: the heart of the project<\/strong><\/h2>\n

One of the key tools of the project is the Focus Groups<\/strong>, thematic meetings where tourism operators, industry professionals, and citizens can discuss different strategic areas of the destination.<\/p>\n
