{"id":14237,"date":"2026-07-26T14:52:31","date_gmt":"2026-07-26T12:52:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.campiflegreiactive.com\/attivita\/the-flegrea-sea-festival-2026\/"},"modified":"2026-07-26T14:52:31","modified_gmt":"2026-07-26T12:52:31","slug":"the-flegrea-sea-festival-2026","status":"publish","type":"event_listing","link":"https:\/\/www.campiflegreiactive.com\/en\/attivita\/the-flegrea-sea-festival-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"The Flegrea Sea Festival 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A warm August evening, the suggestive setting of the Acquamorta inlet in Monte di Procida, the delicacies of Phlegraean gastronomy&#8230; all accompanied by fine local wines: these are the ingredients of the renowned \u201cSagra del Mare Flegrea\u201d (Phlegraean Sea Festival) organized by the \u201cVivi L\u2019Estate\u201d Association. An event that is now very well-established and well-known, so much so that Monte di Procida has become a destination for many, many visitors from across the entire region, giving the town and the entire Phlegraean area a level of promotion that it manages to achieve on very few other occasions. The 2007 and 2012 editions were featured in a television report by the famous Rai Uno program \u201cLinea Blu,\u201d hosted by Donatella Bianchi. In 2009 and 2010, it was featured in a TV report by the TG3 news program in the \u201cSaperi e Sapori\u201d column edited by Muccillo. During the festival evenings, the Association offers: peppered mussels, seaweed fritters, watermelon, <strong>mixed fried<\/strong> <strong>oily fish<\/strong>, and local wines, but surely the \u201cstrong point\u201d (quite literally&#8230;) is the food cooked directly on the docks by the restaurants: in short, a \u201clive\u201d preparation that requires a great organizational effort&#8230; but is then amply rewarded by the deliciousness of the dishes offered to the public. The excellence of the first course also comes from the quality of the pasta used. Our partner is \u201cPASTIFICIO GUIDO FERRARA.\u201d The quality of \u201cFerrara\u201d pasta is guaranteed by careful checks carried out during all stages of processing: from analysis of the raw material to cooking tests. The site itself offers a great spectacle with the Acquamorta inlet, but the organization does the rest. A row of 30 gazebos (3m x 3m) covers the entire space in front of the fishermen&#8217;s dock at the Acquamorta pier. Under these stands, we offer visitors everything they could hope to find at a festival. In fact, the first five stands host the restaurants participating in our event. Each restaurant manages its team and its equipment independently, allowing for an absolutely natural workflow capable of turning out authentic delicacies even in such an unconventional place, far from typical restaurant kitchens. Right after, there are the frying stands: 2 stands where you can taste generous portions of seaweed fritters and very fresh fried oily fish, purchased from local fishermen, which every year is always a huge success even among younger visitors. Of course, the mussel stand couldn&#8217;t be missing, offering typical maritime scents and flavors, along with the bruschetta stand that recalls those same tastes. But there\u2019s also dessert. And what a dessert! Expert local pastry chefs offer cakes often created specifically for our festival. Other stands are dedicated to drinks\u2014the more \u201ccommercial\u201d ones, but also a stand dedicated to the fine wines of our area. Campi Flegrei wines that always garner words of praise even from the most refined palates.
