Bacoli has an incredible stratification: it’s not just Roman archaeology, but a living village where history intertwines with the daily lives of its inhabitants and local devotions (such as the deeply felt one for St. Anne).<\/div>\n

*Architectural contrast: You’ll go from the colorful little houses of the village to the monumental grandeur of imperial remains, such as the so-called “Tomb of Agrippina” (which was actually part of an ancient theater-odeon).<\/div>\n
*The soul of the Poggio: It’s one of the most panoramic spots, where the view stretches across the entire Gulf of Pozzuoli, offering the key to understanding why the Roman aristocracy chose these very places.<\/div>\n
*The connection with wine: Ending the tour at the “Piscina Mirabilis” winery is the perfect finale; the Piedirosso (or Per\u2019 e Palummo) grape variety has grown in this volcanic soil for millennia, literally linking the flavor of the wine to the land you’ve just walked on.<\/div>\n
