Dedalo, the free bus of the Campi Flegrei

From Friday 25 November 2022 to 15 January 2023 will be active Dedalo, the free bus that connects the cultural sites of the Campi Flegrei. The name is primarily inspired by mythology: Daedalus, once he had fled from Crete, would have landed on the top of the city of Cuma to found the temple of Apollo. The reference is also to the dense network of narrow streets of the Campi Flegrei which recall the labyrinth of Minos designed by Daedalus himself.

There are two active itineraries, starting from Pozzuoli and Torregaveta, which will touch the main cultural sites of the Campi Flegrei Archaeological Park: the Macellum of Pozzuoli, Rione Terra, the Flavian Amphitheater, the Archaeological Park of Cuma, the Archaeological Museum of the Campi Flegrei in the Castle of Baia, the Submerged Park of Baia, the Archaeological Park of the Terme di Baia, the Piscina Mirabilis and the Casina Vanvitelliana. Along the way and at the stops it will also be possible to reach nature trails such as Lake Averno, Lake Lucrino, Lake Fusaro and the Miseno lighthouse.

The two buses, with about 30 seats, will be active free of charge from 9.00 to 18.00 with trips every hour.

Thanks to the collaboration started with the Moovit app, the No. 1 app in the world for urban mobility, visitors can easily find out the Dedalo bus timetables via the app and integrate it – in Naples and in the province – with all public transport means. mobility present in the area: from buses to the subway, from bike sharing to taxis.
