For three evenings, the archaeological site will host concerts designed to dialogue with the architecture and historical memory of the place. The ancient columns of the Macellum will become the natural backdrop for a musical journey through soundtracks, singer-songwriter music, and Mediterranean tradition. “The Macellum of Pozzuoli – Temple of Serapis represents one of the most identifying and symbolic places in our city. With Soundtracks, we wanted to open this extraordinary space to music and public participation, building a dialogue between archaeological heritage and contemporary languages - declares the Mayor of Pozzuoli - These three evenings return a new dimension of meeting and sharing to the site, through artists and musical projects capable of speaking to different audiences, in the name of cultural quality and the enhancement of our historical heritage. Pozzuoli continues its path of investment in culture as a living experience deeply linked to the identity of the territory.” June 5, 2026 The Nuova Orchestra Scarlatti Solo clarinet and conductor Gaetano Russo The first event of the festival will feature the Nuova Orchestra Scarlatti with a program dedicated to great film music from Italian and international cinema, in a journey through some of the most famous soundtracks of the twentieth century. From Ennio Morricone to Nino Rota, from John Williams to Nicola Piovani, the concert restores the evocative and narrative power of music, bringing back to the center themes that have entered the collective imagination through cinema. The program includes pieces from Once Upon a Time in America, Cinema Paradiso, Schindler’s List, Il Postino, The Mission, Life is Beautiful, and Benvenuti al Sud, along with music by Giuseppe Verdi, Dmitri Shostakovich, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, in a program that alternates lyrical intensity, cinematic memory, and classical repertoire. June 12, 2026 Carosonamente with Peppe Servillo and the Solis String Quartet The second event of the festival will host “Carosonamente,” a concert dedicated to Renato Carosone, a central figure in twentieth-century Neapolitan music and an artist capable of blending swing, jazz, and Neapolitan tradition in an ironic, theatrical, and still surprisingly contemporary style. Peppe Servillo and the Solis String Quartet create a show that alternates music and storytelling, lightness and melancholy, going through some of the most famous songs from Carosone's repertoire: from Tu vuò fa’ l’americano to ’O sarracino, from Torero to Pigliate ’na pastiglia, to more intimate pieces like Giacca rossa ’e russetto and T’aspetto ’e nove. Through original arrangements and a strong theatrical dimension, the concert provides a portrait of a Naples open to international influences, suspended between musical elegance, irony, and popular memory. June 19, 2026 Marco Zurzolo Neapolitans are not romantic… The third event of the festival will feature Marco Zurzolo with “Neapolitans are not romantic…,” a musical project dedicated to Naples, its sound languages, and its cultural identity. Through a style that intertwines jazz, Neapolitan song, and Mediterranean sounds, the concert builds a musical narrative where tradition and modernity, improvisation and popular memory coexist. The music moves through intimate atmospheres and more popular dimensions, reflecting the contrasts, energy, and cultural richness of the city through an open and recognizable musical language. The project offers a sound journey built around the concept of song, alternating original compositions, moments of improvisation, and references to the Neapolitan musical tradition, in a path that connects jazz, contemporary writing, and Mediterranean repertoire.
